Yum Yum Music
The story of Yum Yum officially started in 2005 when 2 friends, Svaiy and Vekx, decided to organise their own parties. With this party they wanted to create a stage for themselves to show their dj skills and to get in touch with other people in the electronic dance scene. Besides that they also wanted to give a positive and serious impulse to the regional dance scene as there where only few dance parties of good quality. The Azijnfabriek in Roermond became the venue that supported their idea and in January 2005 the first Yum Yum party was a fact.
After a slow beginning the Yum Yum parties became more popular and attracted more electronic dance music lovers every single time. Because of the growing popularity of the party the line-up could become more interesting as well. The Yum Yum organisation was able to book leading national and international dj’s. In the meanwhile dj’s such as Secret Cinema, Benny Rodrigues, Estroe, Joost van Bellen, Isis, Kabale und Liebe, Julien Chaptal, Monica Electronica, Warren Fellow, Egbert and many others have been playing at Yum Yum.
In 2007 the organisation expanded with a third person. This person, vj Stivo, who first was a visitor of the Yum Yum parties offered to vj. Ever since his first performance at Yum Yum vj Stivo became a dedicated member of the team. With his custom made visuals he brought and still brings another dimension to the Yum Yum night.
Since the Yum Yum team exists out of 3 persons, the team makes a lot of effort to set a high standard to the quality of the Yum Yum parties. Besides booking leading dj’s and talented regional dj’s they also try to bring a special look and feel. Every Yum Yum edition should have a “wow” factor.
At this moment Yum Yum and Yum Yum Music is still growing. Besides doing the parties in the Azijnfabriek in Roermond, Yum Yum Music is looking into hosting area’s at clubs, bigger dance events and festivals. In july 2010 Yum Yum Music successfully hosted the techno area at the Chop Till You Drop festival in Venlo. More is to come in the near future.
